Veneers: Where science meets art

Our dentists have consulted with and treated thousands of patients with a cosmetic goal of improving their smile. They have managed these cosmetic cases in several corners of Melbourne; from Brighton, Balwyn, Carlton, Keilor and Roxburgh Park. With their scientific knowledge and aesthetic flare, they continue to treat many patients at Premier Dental Group with customised, beautiful porcelain veneers.

Are you tired of feeling self-conscious about your smile? Veneers may be the perfect solution for you! Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. They are typically made of porcelain or composite resin and can be used to improve the appearance of your teeth in a number of ways.

Veneers are a popular choice in Melbourne for patients looking to improve the appearance of their teeth in a number of ways. They can be used to correct a wide range of cosmetic dental issues, including:

  • Discoloured teeth

More about veneers...

One of the main advantages of veneers is that they can be used to achieve a beautiful and natural-looking smile. Veneers can be customised to match the colour and shape of your existing teeth, which means that your new smile will look completely natural and blend in seamlessly with your existing teeth.

Another advantage of veneers is that they are a minimally invasive option compared to other cosmetic dental procedures such as crowns. They can be placed in as little as two appointments, and the procedure usually does not require any extensive tooth preparation, unlike traditional crowns.

Porcelain veneers are a great choice for patients in Melbourne looking for a long-lasting and durable solution for their cosmetic dental issues. They are made of a high-quality ceramic material that is highly resistant to staining and chipping. They also have a natural-looking translucency that mimics the look of natural teeth, making them a great option for patients who want a natural-looking smile.

Composite veneers are another option for patients. They are made of a tooth-coloured composite resin material and are placed directly onto the tooth surface in a single appointment, making them a more affordable option compared to Porcelain veneers. However, composite veneers have a shorter lifespan and are more prone to staining, chipping and wear than porcelain veneers.

At our Melbourne-based practice, we understand that cost can be a concern for many patients. That's why we offer a range of payment options to make veneers affordable for everyone. We also offer interest-free payment plans, which can be tailored to suit your individual needs.

Types of Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Also called indirect veneers, porcelain options are minimally-invasive and can quickly transform your smile. Unlike resin bonding, these veneers are constructed out of the mouth, then bonded to your teeth. Their transparent design appears like natural enamel for improved aesthetics. This material has the advantage of superior strength and the ability to be customised outside of the mouth until the final product is perfected. The veneers are then placed onto the teeth with a dental resin which has incredible bonding strength. For these reasons Porcelain veneers have a higher cost attached to them, however the strength, cosmetic elegance and natural smiles they produce are often the first choice for patients looking for the best cosmetic solution.

Composite Bonding

Composite veneers, also called direct veneers or composite bonding, are popular due to their great aesthetics, low cost and ease of application. The material used is a resin filling material which your dentist will apply directly to your teeth. This material is moulded to the shapes pre-determined through your assessment. These materials come in many different shades so that the right shade for your smile can be selected and used to provide your new smile. Resin does not have the same strength as Porcelain, but is a very durable and long term option in patients that do not have an excessively complicated bite. Your initial consultation will help determine if this options is right for you.

What are veneers?

Veneers are a common and safe way of improving the appearance of one or more teeth. A veneer is a thin layer of material used to cover the front surface of the teeth to improve the appearance of a smile. Veneers can also help fix minor misalignment and prevent some minor forms of damage.  At Premier Dental Group, we're highly experienced in the application of veneers and are ready to help you regain confidence in your smile.

The veneer journey

Our dentists will always begin cosmetic assessments with a free consultation and planning session. They will then formulate a treatment plan that best suits your objectives. With this plan in mind, our dentists can then produce a physical model of how your teeth will look with the veneers. You and your dentist can then decide which type of veneers best suit you and what shade of white you want your veneers to be.
